About The Position

The Construction Inspector will manage the QA functions and compliance as well as the commercial relationship with a general contractor. This position requires the ability to read and understand all types of engineering and architectural plans and specifications. The inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications, including all types of Municipal infrastructure such as streets, drainage, water, wastewater, or other types of construction work and materials. The inspector will attend project meetings, prepare required contract documentation (daily reports, monthly estimates, etc.), coordinate all quality control testing with contracted testing laboratories, assist in resolving construction problems and disputes, and interact with the public on any issues associated with assigned construction projects. The inspector may also be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience.
  • Valid driver's license required; out of state candidates must obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.
