About The Position

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years of experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical equipment such as glucometer, PT INR machine, wheelchair, and thermometers.
• Knowledge of tests such as urinalysis and EKG.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to show proficiency by passing all written and clinical tests.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in a prompt and professional manner.
• Assist in the delivery of patient education.
• Communicate patient information to and from the physician.
• Assume various job tasks as assigned.
• Deliver direct, individualized, goal-directed patient care under the supervision of a physician.
