About The Position

The Medical Assistant position at TexomaCare involves providing comprehensive patient care in an OB/GYN setting. The role includes assisting physicians during examinations and treatments, managing patient documentation, and ensuring a smooth front desk operation. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process according to clinic protocol required.
• General medical office procedures knowledge required.
• Understanding of end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process according to clinic protocol required.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
• Interviewing patients and measuring vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Performing venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice.
• Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guidelines.
• Preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Assisting in covering the front desk as required.
