Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of work experience, preferable in a clinic setting, but not required.
• BLS/CPR

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, offices, and treatment rooms
• Maintain patient flow
• Accurately record patient data; vitals, height, weight, allergies, and medication
• Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections
• Obtain blood specimens from peripheral sites
• Assist with minor surgical procedures
• Clean/sterilize exam room and instruments used
• Monitor phone and electronic message boxes
• Request and evaluate lab tests
• Schedule patients’ test, procedures, hospital admissions, and follow-up appointments
