About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting physician, PA or NP with clerical duties, patient flow, patient care and procedures. The MA prepares the examination room, escorts patients, cleans the room post-exam, maintains efficient patient flow, and ensures proper preparation for patient visits. They communicate and provide care consistent with the patient's needs, answer phones, schedule appointments, stock examination rooms, reconcile encounters, and document vital signs and medication lists in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). The MA also enters orders, provides referrals, adheres to safety precautions, maintains equipment, and demonstrates flexibility with work schedules.
