Now, the Neurological Institute is expanding with a new state-of-the-art facility which will include additional operating rooms and ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG and sleep and brain study services. As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff, you will support medication management, patient monitoring, and a variety of clinical and office tasks. This position offers broad clinical exposure through hands-on involvement in patient care, compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. With a strong emphasis on professional development, this role provides an excellent foundation for expanding your healthcare knowledge and skills, making it a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for long-term growth. A caregiver in this position works 8:30am—5:00pm. No holidays/weekends.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program (As designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee) OR Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
• Completion of a clinical externship (Extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal clinical externship)
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within new hire period)
• Current demonstrated clinical proficiency

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assisting Certification
• Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship
• 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
