Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certification, Registration, and/or Two-Year Associate’s Degree REQUIRED
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Comfort working in both clinic and community-based settings
  • A warm, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
  • Commitment to respectful, inclusive, patient-first care

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of ambulatory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clinical spaces and mobile units for patient visits
  • Take vital signs, perform point-of-care testing, and collect specimens
  • Assist with procedures, immunizations, and patient intake
  • Accurately document care in the electronic health record
  • Educate patients on preventive care and follow-up instructions
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized care environment
  • Provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered care to diverse populations
  • Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and chart creation
  • Help connect patients to community resources and referrals
  • Support patient navigation and access to social services
  • Maintain accurate records related to services, inventory, and infection control
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Flexibly support other programs as needed, including cross-training with MAR
