Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification, Registration, and/or Two-Year Associate’s Degree REQUIRED
- Current BLS Certification
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Comfort working in both clinic and community-based settings
- A warm, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
- Commitment to respectful, inclusive, patient-first care
Nice To Haves
- Two years of ambulatory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare clinical spaces and mobile units for patient visits
- Take vital signs, perform point-of-care testing, and collect specimens
- Assist with procedures, immunizations, and patient intake
- Accurately document care in the electronic health record
- Educate patients on preventive care and follow-up instructions
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized care environment
- Provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered care to diverse populations
- Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and chart creation
- Help connect patients to community resources and referrals
- Support patient navigation and access to social services
- Maintain accurate records related to services, inventory, and infection control
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Flexibly support other programs as needed, including cross-training with MAR
