About The Position

Growing Rheumatology practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals with quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. Candidate must be able to provide excellent patient care and medical administrative support including but not limited to front desk operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Previous Experience in a medical office or setting minimum of one year.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic medical terminology and basic medical procedures a must.
• Strong communication skills in both oral and written form.
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office a plus but not required

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Rheumatology a plus but not required.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and walk them to exam rooms
• Perform vital signs measurements and record patient information accurately
• Assist healthcare providers with patient care procedures
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow, assist with check in/out, insurance verifications, and prior authorizations.
• Clean, stock and prepare examination rooms
• Provide support during medical procedures
