About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Diploma and/or National Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent military healthcare experience.
  • Completion of a medical assistant externship.
  • Current CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately interview patients and record patient history and vital signs.
  • Verify patient information and complete the intake process in EHR/EPM.
  • Greet and assist patients in a professional manner, answering inquiries as needed.
  • Collect and document results of CLIA waived lab tests.
  • Prepare and document specimen collection for various tests.
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures, and prepare instruments for sterilization.
  • Complete pre-visit planning to support clinical visits.
  • Administer medications as per CUC formulary and Standing Delegation Orders.
  • Dismiss patients at the end of clinic visits, completing necessary documentation.
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and attend mandatory meetings.
  • Coordinate and manage patient care, including communication of test results and scheduling.
  • Maintain a clean and functional environment, adhering to CUC guidelines.
  • Serve as a scribe when assigned, documenting medical visits and procedures accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
