About the Role: This is a full-time opportunity working on-site at our Chase Gardens location in Eugene, OR. The position has an expectation of 32-40hrs per week, and we are proud to offer a great benefits package. Our Medical Assistant (non-certified) recruiting pay range is $19.59 - $23.61 and a Certified Medical Assistant is $21.60 - $26.03.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of clinical support experience with experience in obtaining accurate patient vitals, medical injections, and assisting with procedures/NSTs OR a Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA required.
  • Advanced knowledge and competence in all skills related to the performance of patient care.
  • Strong personal work habits with a high level of accountability and self-management skills that enable desired outcomes.
  • Easily able to adapt and maintain composure, effective at time priority and management, and able to respond to feedback constructively.
  • Strong communication skills, a teamwork mindset, and well-developed interpersonal capabilities that enable successful interactions with others.
  • Engages well with the team/patients through respectful and inclusive conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patient for examinations, procedures, and treatments by obtaining vital signs; obtaining, evaluating, and recording patient history; and updating medication and immunization records.
  • Prepares and maintains examination and treatment areas, ensuring adequate inventories of supplies and equipment to maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Assists with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Prepare and administer injections and immunizations as directed by physician/provider.
  • Receives, organizes, prioritizes, stores, and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology.
  • Collects and process specimens, screen and follow up on test results.
  • Performs CLIA-waived tests.
  • Performs instrument sterilization.
  • Assists with maintaining medical supplies and onsite inventory.
  • Maintains and updates patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
