About The Position

At Western Montana Clinic, we are continuing our 100-year tradition of providing excellent health care to the community. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant MA to join our team at the Now Care Southgate Mall location.
36 hours per week, variable schedule includes some weekends and evenings with shift differential pay.

The Medical Assistant MA will:
Heighten the patient experience by providing extraordinary care

Requirements

• Completion of Certified/Registered Medical Assistant program (must become certified within 6 month of hire)
• medical assistant experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency
• The successful Medical Assistant candidate will be subject to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for their health care visit
• Complete intake assessments including medical history and vital signs
• Assist during procedures
• Monitor, document, and administer medications and immunizations
• Perform phlebotomy and point of care laboratory testing
• Manage and prioritize patient portal (MyChart) and telephone communications
• Participate in and support patient education
• Coordinate ongoing care including referrals and prescriptions
• Play an essential role in fulfilling our mission
