Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent is required.
  • Licenses: CCMA, CMA, or RMA are required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with performing patient assessments and treatment under the direction of the physician or nurse.
  • Provides general patient care in the physician's office setting and completes tasks as directed by the physician or office manager to ensure seamless daily operation.
  • Administers injections, vaccines, and medications as instructed by the physician.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
  • Documents patient care given.
