About The Position

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their Maplewood Urgent Care Clinic. The position requires flexibility to work at different urgent care locations and every-other weekend, with a focus on patient-centered care and process improvement.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN.
• Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support quality patient- and family-centered care principles as part of the care team.
• Collect information and document patient visits accurately and timely.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practice guidelines.
• Promote communication among all team members.
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation for each patient.
• Look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
• Deliver care as delegated by physicians or RNs.
• Prioritize work based on patient needs and available resources.
• Perform technical procedures, including medication administration and lab draws.
