Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
BLS Certification required within 14 days of start

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree.
Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care
Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Responsibilities

Working under the supervision of the physicians and Clinic Supervisor, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with patient care and other duties associated with efficient running of the clinic.
Phone calls are returned.
Physicians are assisted with exams.
Special procedures are administered according to clinic policies
