The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties. The Medical Assistant is also responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team and performing duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke's mission and values.
