About The Position

Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care Peds Position Highlights: Position: Medical Assistant Location: Evanston, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Hours: Rotating hours Monday – Friday between 7am – 7pm with rotating Saturdays between 8am -1pm Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and escort them to exam room
Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
Provide front office support as needed
Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
Phlebotomy and injections may be required
