About The Position

The position is for a Casual (temporary) Clinical Medical Assistant in the Pulmonary Clinic at Rady Children's Medical Office Building in San Diego. This role is full-time, with casual dates from 9/14/2025 to 11/7/2025. Under the direct supervision of a licensed care practitioner, the Medical Assistant provides and documents clinical care and associated tasks. The Medical Assistant collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients and families, utilizing an appropriate age and developmental approach in the application of care.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or foreign equivalent
• One year of experience
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Medical Assistant Program/Certificate (Polinsky only)

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with data entry and clinical computer systems
• Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient or long-term care setting
• Bilingual English/Spanish
