About the position
The Medical Assistant, under the medical direction of the Clinic Physicians and the general administrative direction of the Clinic Manager, is responsible for providing assistance to the Physicians and Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners through coordination of the patients visit and performing designated procedures and patient care. The Medical Assistant also participates in quality and safety control and provides support service within Clinic when not providing patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist Physicians and Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners during patient visits.
- Coordinate patient visits and perform designated procedures.
- Participate in quality and safety control.
- Provide support services within the Clinic when not providing patient care.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, or certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider.
- Sufficient training and/or experience to maintain the required licensure/certification/registration.
Nice-to-haves
- Direct patient care experience in a Medical Office.
