About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA, LPN, EMT) at Hatchery Hill Clinic plays a crucial role in supporting high-quality patient care as part of a care team. Requirements

• Must have completed an MA, LPN, or EMT training program from an accredited institution.
• Medical Assistants must be eligible for national certification within six months of employment or have three years of experience with current certification.
• Licensed Practical Nurses must have current licensure in Wisconsin or obtain it within six months of employment.
• Emergency Medical Technicians must have a valid Wisconsin license as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic.
• Possession of or eligibility for a valid Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certificate is required.
• One year of relevant experience in a clinic or outpatient setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of standard clinical procedures and ability to learn established protocols is required.
• Ability to use and maintain medical equipment and supplies is required.
• Proficiency in computer-based applications, including electronic medical records, is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of a care team to support patient care.
• Perform pre-visit preparation and monitor patient flow.
• Room patients and obtain patient histories and vital signs.
• Manage test results following established protocols.
• Support Epic in-basket workflow and return phone calls.
• Assist with medical examinations and procedures.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and Medical Providers in patient care management.
• Review team/provider in-baskets and My Chart messages for the assigned care team.
