About The Position

We are seeking Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses to join our Enterprise Float pool. The new hire will work in all clinic areas across the enterprise to cover clinical support staff call-ins and PTO, in addition to working with providers who pick up and need additional support. The MA, LPN or RN will be required to float to departments within the Fergus Falls Clinic, in addition to our other clinic locations including Barnesville, Morris, Ashby and Battle Lake. For Medical Assistant Applicants The Medical Assistant (MA) provides a variety of clinical and administrative duties to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care within the clinic setting. Under the direction of a licensed provider and/or nurse, this position assists with patient preparation, clinical procedures, documentation, and coordination of care. The MA contributes to maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards, and supporting overall clinic operations to enhance quality, access, and patient satisfaction. Exhibits proficient and professional communication with patients, co-workers, and providers. Demonstrates knowledge of available resources within Lake Region Healthcare and the broader community to support comprehensive patient care. For Licensed Practical Nurse Applicants The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides proficient, compassionate, and professional patient-centered care by effectively communicating with patients, co-workers, and providers. Provides patient care support as delegated by Provider or Registered Nurse (RN). Demonstrates knowledge of available resources within Lake Region Healthcare and the broader community to support comprehensive patient care. The LPN practices in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, and LRHC policies and procedures. This role requires sound clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively to ensure safe, comprehensive, and compassionate patient care. For Registered Nurse Applicants The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care through the application of the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, delegation, and evaluation. The RN demonstrates proficient, compassionate, and professional communication with patients, families, visitors, colleagues, providers, and community partners. Responsibilities include performing nursing duties accurately and efficiently, assisting providers, and carrying out orders while maintaining thorough and timely documentation. The RN practices in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, and LRHC policies and procedures. This role requires sound clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively to ensure safe, comprehensive, and compassionate patient care.

Requirements

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within six months.
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work at the clinic site as scheduled, including travel to other clinic sites.
  • Verified completion of an MA diploma/program with proof of current certification as an MA if certification received from the diploma/program.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Performs delegated clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a licensed provider or nurse in accordance with established protocols, competencies, and organizational policies.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Ability to perform within the nursing scope of practice.
  • Current Minnesota LPN Licensure
  • Performs nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, or provider, consistent with the LPN scope of practice defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform within the registered nurse scope of practice.
  • Current Minnesota RN Licensure
  • The RN delegates and supervises nursing care consistent with professional standards and the scope of practice as defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
