About The Position

The position involves performing routine clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of medical staff, aimed at supporting the assigned area or office. The role includes assisting with patient preparation, basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment. Additionally, it encompasses various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the healthcare setting.

Requirements

• Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff.
• Ability to document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in medical assisting or related field is a plus.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists with collecting statistics and prepares patients for visits with medical staff.
• Assists with basic diagnostic procedures and performs specimen collection as required.
• Communicates observed changes in patient condition to medical staff for assessment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, scribing, data entry, prior authorization, and patient registration.
