About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role.

Requirements

  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience.
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Valid driver’s License within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.
  • In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
  • Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving fleet vehicles to and from mobile events.
  • Assist in transport of mobile equipment bins.
  • Load mobile equipment onto vehicles prior to office departure, offload upon arrival at location, load back onto vehicles at close of event and offload upon return to office.
  • Responsible for restocking mobile equipment inventory.
  • Coverage required at multiple satellite locations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
