About The Position

The Medical Assistant will provide general patient care in a physician office setting. The Medical Assistant will complete tasks as directed by physician and office manager to ensure seamless operation. Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments. Administers injections, vaccines and medications and other related tasks as instructed by physician. Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification (must be credentialed by an accredited organization within 6 months of hire).
• 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.
• Demonstrated phlebotomy experience.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of college education.
• 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Six months of phlebotomy skills to include blood draws.
