About The Position

Boulder Community Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to serve as a dedicated patient caregiver within a multidisciplinary care team. The role involves organizing care around patients and contributing to their well-being through various medical and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Colorado LPN license in good standing preferred.
  • Pass a national Medical Assistant Certification exam preferred.
  • BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.

Responsibilities

  • Takes patient histories, vital signs and thoroughly documents in patient chart.
  • Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  • Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.
  • Performs venipunctures and fingerstick phlebotomy, throat cultures, urinalysis, EKG's, and other laboratory procedures as directed.
