Hours for this specific opening are 9:30am -6:00pm. The Watkins Health Services clinic is open M-F from 8-6 and also has Saturday hours during the school year from 12-4 and not in the summer. This position rotates weekend, and it ends up being one Saturday per 6 weeks during the school year. Also, during the summer the entire clinic closes at 4:30. The clinic is closed on holidays and has no Sunday coverage. The Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of patients through the health care setting by facilitating examination and treatment of patients in a culturally sensitive manner with exceptional customer service; contributes to patient care by preparing patient for visit, performing limited procedures, scheduling diagnostic test or consults, maintaining patient records, organizing clinic/exam rooms, maintaining supply/equipment inventory, and/or assisting physicians, other medical staff, nurses, other interdisciplinary team members and support staff.
