This full-time Medical Assistant/LPN position is for the AMG Burlington - Family Medicine Department, requiring 40 hours per week over 4 days. The role involves adhering to the Medical Assistant scope of practice, following all policies and procedures, and maintaining training and competency in patient care. Key responsibilities include performing rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, and various screenings. The incumbent will assist providers with procedures, perform lab-related duties like venipuncture, specimen collection, and results tracking, and conduct Point of Care testing. Safe administration of medications and vaccines is also a crucial duty. Additional tasks encompass medication refills, insurance authorizations, patient messaging, medication/supply ordering, appointment scheduling, and referrals. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked work environment. The individual may also assist with training new teammates and serve on committees. The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served, understanding principles of growth and development across the life span.
