About The Position

Voyage Healthcare is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or LPN to join our OBGYN Medical Support Staff Department. This role is essential in providing compassionate and efficient nursing care to clinic patients, ensuring their needs are met and communicated effectively to healthcare providers. The position is available at our Crystal or Plymouth locations and includes a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in OBGYN or similar
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with patients and families
• Familiarity with electronic health records, specifically eClinicalWorks

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual skills
• Experience with EKGs and phlebotomy
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and recording vital signs
• Assisting in the float station
• Administering injections and performing phlebotomy draws
• Conducting EKGs and assisting in Gyn procedures
• Communicating with patients and their families to provide advice and education
• Ensuring completion of appropriate patient forms
• Documenting in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
• Maintaining supplies and equipment, and sterilizing instruments
• Complying with procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment
• Traveling to other clinic locations as needed
• Cross-training to provide backup support to Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Departments
• Performing other related duties as assigned
