About The Position
The Medical Assistant II position at Covenant Medical Management involves providing professional clinical care to patients in an outpatient clinical setting. This role is crucial in supporting the healthcare team by assisting with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments under the supervision of the attending provider and practice office manager. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assessing patients' general conditions, taking vital signs, and ensuring that patients receive the appropriate care and attention they need during their visits. In this role, the Medical Assistant will assist providers with various procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, and suturing, while also administering medications as per provider orders. The position requires a strong focus on patient comfort and privacy, utilizing effective communication techniques to ensure that patients feel at ease during their visits. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will document all interventions and patient responses in the medical record, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. The Medical Assistant will also play a vital role in promoting wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating the provider's advice and instructions. This position requires collaboration with the healthcare team, including physicians and other care team members, to ensure comprehensive patient care. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, ensuring that all medical equipment is in good working condition, and managing supplies effectively.
