Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of a medical provider.
• Assist with direct patient care and serve as a liaison between physician and patient.
• Promote communication among care providers, patients, and office staff regarding care plans.
• Take patients to rooms and greet them upon arrival.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with medical procedures.
• Schedule appointments and answer phones.
• Perform phlebotomy and obtain lab specimens.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and perform clerical work.
• Calculate and administer medications and vaccinations.
• Adhere to safety and infection guidelines.
