About The Position

The Medical Assistant position at Sutter Health provides essential clinical and clerical support to healthcare providers and the patient care team. Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Completion of a course of study for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California or equivalent Sutter Health training.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
• MA Certification by a California Medical Board recognized agency (required for incentive in 2025).
• 1 year of recent relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of various medical procedures and equipment.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Competence in basic Medical Assisting skills such as taking vital signs and administering injections.
• Ability to interpret data and instructions in various formats.

Benefits

• Pay range of $27.88 to $33.45 per hour.
