About The Position

Peds First Pediatrics is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant Lead to provide strong leadership, hands-on patient care, and positive energy to their practice. In this role, the Medical Assistant Lead will care for patients, supervise the medical assistant team, and oversee the laboratory to ensure smooth operations. The position involves supporting, mentoring, and training staff, supervising lab procedures, assisting providers with exams and procedures, maintaining clinical workflows, overseeing inventory, and collaborating with providers, nurses, and administrative staff.

Requirements

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
3+ years of hands-on MA experience
Strong clinical skills – Confident in taking vitals, and assisting with procedures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills – You’re detail-oriented and know how to keep a team motivated.
A positive, team-first attitude – You set the tone and help create a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Nice To Haves

Leadership experience
Experience with EMR systems – AthenaOne or similar

Responsibilities

Support, mentor, and train the medical assistant staff to deliver the highest quality care.
Supervise lab operations, ensure proper procedures are followed, and maintain a safe, efficient environment.
Take vitals, assist providers with exams and procedures, and make patients feel comfortable and supported.
Help maintain clinical workflows, oversee inventory and supplies, and make sure exam rooms and lab spaces are always ready to go.
Work closely with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth, collaborative environment.
