About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
• Ability to complete departmental competency assessment by the end of the orientation period.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of medical assistant experience.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in providing patient care.
• Perform a variety of clinical tasks including taking patient histories and vital signs.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Engage with patients through the MyChart patient portal to manage their health and appointments.
