About The Position
The Medical Assistant performs specialized work in inpatient or ambulatory care settings, focusing on assisting providers, nurse managers, and Case Managers in the examination and treatment of patients while also performing a variety of related clerical tasks. The role is part of the Miami-Dade Corrections Health Services (CHS) under Jackson Health System (JHS), which serves approximately 5,000 patients daily with a diverse multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
