About The Position

Johnson College is currently seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced medical professionals to join our Workforce Advancement & Value-Added Education team as a part-time Medical Assistant Instructor. Help prepare students for success in today's medical offices by teaching the hands-on skills employers value most. As an instructor, you will guide students through preparing a patient for treatment and exams, routine laboratory procedures, pharmacology basics, medical terminology, taking and documenting vital signs and the essential clinical functions of a medical assistant. Administrative functions include organizing and presenting course materials, attendance tracking, and grade submission.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of full-time industry expertise and/or work experience
• Appropriate education/training credentials pertinent to the course subject matter area

• Teaching experience with adult students
