Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team! Essential Duties: Collaborates with key stakeholders to support course planning, instructional delivery, budget, and classroom management for the MA program. Teach required classroom, lab, and clinical hours in accordance with certification standards and programmatic requirements. Participate in the recruitment and selection of program participants. Develop and distribute syllabi, lesson plans, and learning objectives for each course. Maintain current knowledge of national standards for MA certification and ensure curriculum compliance. Coordinate clinical schedules and supervise clinical education to ensure alignment with required competencies. Recommend curriculum improvements and modifications based on student outcomes, industry trends, and regulatory changes. Maintain program and instructor certifications and professional development in accordance with state and national standards.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) required.
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or clinical healthcare setting.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), phlebotomy, EKG, and administrative procedures required.
  • CPR certification required (AHA BLS); ACLS/PALS preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching or clinical educator experience preferred.
