About The Position

Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care at our Hunt Valley office. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution
  • Medical Assistant certification (such as NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, etc.) is required
  • 5 or more years medical assisting and medical office experience and 2 or more years of specialty experience
  • CPR certification is required

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated skill in venipuncture preferred
