Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school.
  • MA I: No experience required with Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant or 1 year of related experience without Certification/Registration.
  • MA II: 5 years of directly related experience with Certification/Registration or 6 years without.
  • MA III: 8 years of directly related experience with Certification/Registration or 9 years without.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association required for MA I, II, and III.
  • Complete the review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Ambulatory Care experience.
  • Windows based computer skills.
  • EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards.
  • Perform duties delegated by the supervising Physician or RN.
  • Administer injectables and perform other high-level skills (for MA II/III).
