About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Certified/Registered Medical Assistant III (CMA/RMA) to join our primary care/internal medicine team of five providers. This position plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, efficient, and high‑quality patient care across outpatient and hospital settings. Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.

Requirements

Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA).
Strong communication, multitasking, and patient‑service skills.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR).

Nice To Haves

Primary Care or Internal Medicine experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive patient intakes, including vital signs, medical histories, and medication/allergy reviews.
Assist providers with exams, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testing.
Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection per competency standards.
Prepare, label, and process laboratory samples and point‑of-care tests.
Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and equipment calibration.
Support patient triage, care coordination, and transitions between care settings.
Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, chronic conditions, and preventive care.
Accurately document clinical data and provider instructions in the EHR.
Schedule and track appointments, referrals, authorizations, and test results.
Verify insurance coverage and assist with prior authorizations, billing, and coding.
Maintain inventory and prepare exam/procedure rooms with necessary supplies.
Facilitate communication among patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and organizational compliance standards.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives, audits, and safety drills.
Provide culturally competent, compassionate care to diverse patient populations.
