About The Position
ChristianaCare is hiring a Medical Assistant II for our Pediatric Associates department in Middletown, DE. This practice is located at 735 Mapleton Ave Suite 100, Middletown, DE 19709. ChristianaCare Pediatrics at Whitehall provides high-quality, compassionate pediatric care to infants and children throughout Delaware. Our dedicated team of medical professionals is committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care in a supportive and family-centered environment. Our practice focuses on promoting healthy development, preventive care, and trusted partnerships with families to support children’s health at every stage. This role is well‑suited for an MA who is organized, adaptable, and trusted to work independently, while also collaborating seamlessly with providers and team members to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care. Whitehall - Pediatric Associates | ChristianaCare Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Occasional cross coverage at the Newark practice
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program and hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
- Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant, is required, three years’ is preferred.
Responsibilities
- The Medical Assistant II ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Assists providers during virtual and in-person appointments
- Acts as a leader and mentor to office staff to promote effective workflow and team collaboration.
