About The Position

The Medical Assistant Urgent Care is cross‑trained to perform a blend of administrative and clinical duties while working closely with providers, the office supervisor, and the practice manager. This role delivers professional, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced outpatient environment. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Medical Assisting In lieu of medical assistant program, 5 years of medical assistant experience is required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
For an MA, you must have a certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Allied Health, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in outpatient clinics—take vitals and histories, document visits, give vaccines and meds, draw blood, run tests, and help with medication reconciliation under supervision.
Receive and document requests from internal and external customers, and respond professionally by phone, electronic message, or in person.
