Granger Medical Clinic is excited to welcome a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant II to join our Urology team in Murray, Utah. Overview: Candidate will work closely with physicians and support staff to provide patient care including telephone triage, insurance authorizations, recording of vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.), administration of immunizations, phlebotomy, maintenance of exam rooms and filing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be able to read, communicate and write well in English. Strong typing skills, 40 wpm. Basic arithmetic, computer and analytical skills. Must be dependable, flexible, and multi-task oriented. Enjoy working with people, being a team player and willing to help others with tasks. Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with physicians, clinic staff and patients. Additional languages helpful but not required. Essential Functions and Duties: As a key member of our care team, you will: Provide hands-on patient care including vital signs, immunizations and phlebotomy. Conduct phone triage and assist with insurance authorizations. Prepare patients for exams and ensure providers have complete, accurate clinical information. Schedule appointments and serve as a welcoming point of contact. Maintain exam rooms and clinical documentation. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, physicians and staff. Support clinical operations with additional duties as needed. Education and Experience: High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required. Medical Assistant Certification preferred . 2-years Medical Assistance experience preferred. 1-year Medical Office experience preferred. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Standing and walking for extended periods, Lifting up to 50lbs. Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment. Requirements
