About The Position
Up to a $1,000 Sign on Bonus Available Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant II in our Cardiology Department at Baptist World Golf Village in St Augustine, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity. This position is for the fast-paced Baptist World Golf Village office. The candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as assisting provider and rooming patients. Open to new Medical Assistants. Must be willing to learn and work as a team. Candidate must also be willing to travel to other offices once or twice per month. This Medical Assistant II position will be located at Baptist World Golf Village. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office

Responsibilities
- Provides nursing assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Telephone triage
- Patient education
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests and referrals
- Cross train in front office, referrals and other areas (E.G.FP and Peds)
