This is a full-time, benefits-eligible Medical Assistant (MA) II position in Family Practice, requiring 40 hours per week. The schedule varies based on the needs of the practice, including evenings and weekends. Key responsibilities include adhering to the MA scope of practice, performing patient rooming and visit tasks (vital signs, medication reconciliation, health maintenance, screenings), assisting providers with procedures, and conducting various lab duties such as venipuncture, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing (POCT). The MA II will also administer medications and vaccines, manage medication refills, insurance authorizations, patient messaging, and maintain a clean and stocked work environment. There is potential to assist with training new teammates and serve on committees. The role demands knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.
