About The Position
Sun Street Centers in Salinas, California, USA is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to facilitate an individual Residential program in Salinas, CA. The successful candidate will serve the special needs of program participants involved with the behavioral health or criminal justice system who are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Provide medical observation and substance abuse referral. Maintain a safe, cooperative, caring atmosphere. Required to be certified as an EMT, CMA, or CNA and licensed within the State of California, with a current licensure number. Please visit www.sunstreet.org for the application . NOTE: Employees will be required to be fingerprinted, TB tested, screened for fitness for duty, and will be subject to clearance by the Department of Justice. Requirements
- Certified as an EMT, CMA, or CNA and licensed within the State of California, with a current licensure number
- One+ year’s experience in alcohol and drug addiction treatment, recovery, or prevention
- If in recovery, an approved amount of time in continuous sobriety
- Certification as a medical assistant, nursing assistant or emergency medical technician within the State of California is required
- Employees will be required to be fingerprinted, TB tested, screened for fitness for duty, and will be subject to clearance by the Department of Justice
