About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic has an opening for a full-time Medical Assistant at our Wasatch Internal Medicine Practice location. Location: 1160 East 3900 South Ste. 1000, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84124 Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm Overview: This position supports a senior Internal Medicine physician with a large, established patient panel and requires the ability to manage a high patient volume efficiently while maintaining accuracy and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical setting
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Lifting up to 50lbs
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
  • Inside, climate-controlled working conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA/RMA)
  • Experience in Internal Medicine or adult primary care strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
  • Perform medication reconciliation and update patient records in the EHR
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist with in-office procedures
  • Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed
  • Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing
  • Process lab and diagnostic orders; coordinate referrals as needed
  • Manage patient communications, including phone messages and portal messages
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked, prepared, and compliant with infection control standards
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Efficiently room patients while maintaining schedule flow and minimizing provider delays
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation in the EHR in real time
  • Proactively anticipate provider needs during clinic sessions
  • Maintain timely processing of labs, referrals, and follow-up items
  • Demonstrate strong medication reconciliation accuracy
  • Provide professional, service-oriented communication with patients and team members
  • Maintain organized exam rooms and support clinical compliance standards
  • Effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment without compromising qualit y
