About The Position

This is a full time position for an advanced medical assistant, providing outpatient care for our patients and assisting our physicians and advanced practice providers in all clinical areas of the practice.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program (or equivalent military training) and certification (RMA or CMA) is required.
  • Completion of BLS class and re-certify every 2 years.
  • At least one (1) year of Medical Assistant clinical experience is required.
  • Must have working knowledge of computers.
  • Customer service-oriented individual is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Women's health experience preferred.
  • Experience in a "fast paced" ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Takes vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure. May draw blood and give injections under the immediate supervision of a Physician or RN.
  • Chaperon when appropriate and assists during certain minor surgeries and diagnostic procedures, such as Pap Smears.
  • Maintain clean, well-equipped examination rooms; cleans and sterilizes instruments.
  • Document all information in EMR.
  • Stock examination rooms and triage area with medical supplies. Inventory and reorder supplies.
  • QA Review of patient charts obtaining and documenting all pertinent information.
  • Train and orient new medical assistants.
