Medical Assistant II - Internal Medicine, Riverton Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team in Riverton, Utah. In this role, you'll work closely with physicians and support staff to provide high-quality patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations. Pay Range: $16-$21/hour , based on experience, education, and skill level Responsibilities: Telephone triage and insurance authorizations Recording vital signs (BP, temperature, etc.) Administering immunizations and performing phlebotomy Maintaining exam rooms and filing Preparing patients for exams and communicating lab results Scheduling appointments and assisting with patient needs Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Medical Assistant Certification preferred, not required 2+ years of experience, Family Medicine preferred High School Diploma or GED Strong customer service and communication skills Dependable, flexible, and able to multitask Team-oriented and eager to help others Proficient in English; additional languages a plus Essential Functions and Duties: Record all demographic information necessary to contact patients and do prior authorization for medications and procedures. Prepare patients for exams and supply the provider with all relevant information (lab results, vital signs, medications, allergies). Communicate with patients regarding their appointment scheduling and other needs. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must have experience as a Medical Assistant. Standing and walking for extended periods, Lifting up to 50lbs. Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment. Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
