About The Position

The Medical Assistant II - Dermatology position is designed to assist physicians in providing coordinated care tailored to the needs of patients in a dermatology setting. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of physicians and clinic management, contributing to a high-quality patient care environment.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical or dermatology setting is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Epic EHR system is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic physical assessments on patients, collecting essential data for treatment.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by the physician, adhering to clinic policies.
• Respond to incoming patient care-related phone calls, assessing and determining the purpose of the call accurately.
• Assist in data management processes of the clinic, including updating patient clinical records and managing clinic charges.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute ideas for enhancing work processes.
