At Franciscan, our Medical Assistant are critical for supporting a variety of clinical duties for multiple ambulatory clinics. This role assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care, scheduling appointments, executing physician orders for lab testing, entering information in electronic medical record system, and functions as a liaison between patients, coworkers, and providers. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Schedule: 7:45 AM–6:15 PM (Mon–Fri) Every third Saturday: 7:45 AM–4:15 PM Four 10‑hour shifts weekly; on Saturday rotation weeks: three 10‑hour shifts + one 8‑hour Saturday Closed most major holidays (open Christmas Eve 8–2 PM; New Year’s Day 8–4 PM) Occupational health experience preferred; family practice/urgent care acceptable Drug screening and phlebotomy experience a plus Perform pre‑employment physicals, DOT/non-DOT exams, workers’ comp visits, and drug screens Support HealtheACCESS primary care services Room patients, take vitals, obtain histories, document in EMR Administer vaccines, injections, medications Perform phlebotomy and point‑of‑care testing Complete medication reconciliation under RN/Provider supervision Communicate with patients and staff via phone, messaging, and in person Handle prior authorizations, referrals, prescriptions, refills, and sample medications Professional development opportunities Enhanced benefits package with experience‑based pay Patient‑focused care across diverse outpatient settings
