About The Position
We are looking for a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant I to support our providers and help ensure smooth clinic operations. This role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on delivering timely, accurate, and compassionate care to our patients in a primary care setting.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Fluent in English
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong clinical and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong patient care focus
Nice To Haves
- Spanish-speaking preferred
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients
- Manage and update patient records in the EMR system
- Handle patient communication, including phone calls, messages, and follow-ups
- Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering
- Support clinic flow to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience
- Perform other responsibilities as directed
